Common questions
Is there a limit on how many I can sell?
No. Print one or a thousand. There's no royalty and nothing extra to pay.
Do I have to credit 3MF Labs?
No. Just don't present the design as your own original work, or suggest that we endorse your shop.
Can I use your product photos in my listing?
No. Our images aren't part of the license. Take photos of your own prints: they also show buyers exactly what they'll get.
A friend has a printer too. Can I send them the files?
Please don't. Send them the model's page instead, so they can get their own copy.
Can I change the design?
Yes, for your own printing, and you can sell prints of your changed version. You can't share or sell the changed files.
What does "Signed by Ghostly" mean?
Our new files are signed by Ghostly, and older designs are signed whenever we update them. A signed model carries a copyright label and a hidden signature that name 3MF Labs and the shop you bought it from, so copies shared or resold online can be traced. Signing doesn't change how the model prints.

3MFLABS | DIGITAL MODEL LICENSE Copyright (c) 2026 3MFLABS. All rights reserved to the extent applicable. PHYSICAL PRINT SALES ARE PERMITTED. DIGITAL FILE RESALE IS PROHIBITED. 1. LICENSE GRANT With a legitimate purchase from 3MFLABS or an authorized seller, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these files for your own personal printing and to produce and sell physical printed items. This permission covers the purchasing individual or business. There is no quantity limit or additional royalty for physical prints under this license. The digital files are licensed to you, not sold as intellectual property. 2. PERMITTED USE You may print the design for yourself, give away physical prints, and sell physical prints through your own shop, website, marketplaces or in person. You may adapt the files for your own printing needs and keep private backups. Physical items made from those adaptations may also be sold. You may use your own photographs of your physical prints to market them. 3. DIGITAL FILE RESTRICTIONS You may not sell, resell, share, give away, upload, publish, sublicense, transfer or otherwise redistribute any of the supplied digital files. This includes STL, 3MF and other formats, extracted geometry, converted files, modified versions, remixes, bundles and files supplied with a physical sale. Do not place the files in public repositories, shared download folders, subscription libraries or digital marketplaces. A physical-print customer does not receive any right to the digital files. 4. OWNERSHIP & PRESENTATION Rights not expressly granted remain with 3MFLABS, to the extent applicable. Do not claim the original design as your own or imply that your business is 3MFLABS or officially endorsed by 3MFLABS. This license does not transfer ownership of the design, brand, logos or other intellectual property. 5. ENFORCEMENT These files are signed by Ghostly (signedbyghostly.com). They are registered to 3MFLABS and carry a copyright label and a hidden signature that identify the owner and the shop the copy was sold through, so shared, resold or re-uploaded copies can be traced. Do not remove or alter the label or the signature. 3MFLABS actively enforces its restrictions on unauthorized digital resale and redistribution. Violations may result in marketplace reports, removal requests, termination of the permissions granted by this license, and pursuit of remedies available under applicable law. Written permission from 3MFLABS is required for any digital distribution not expressly permitted here. 6. RESPONSIBILITY & APPLICABLE RIGHTS You are responsible for the quality, suitability and lawful sale of the physical items you produce. Printing results depend on equipment, materials and settings. Nothing in this license limits rights or exceptions that applicable law does not allow to be restricted. For licensing questions, contact 3MFLABS through the shop where you purchased these files. Retain your purchase receipt as evidence of your license.
