01About

The drop-four game for two, dressed for Halloween. The grid stands upright between two covers that fold out as trays for the counters. Fold them shut, clip the top, and the whole game stands on the shelf like a tombstone.

Pumpkins play ghosts, 21 of each. A release bar under the grid holds the counters in during a round and drops them all out when you pull it.

Every part is its own single-color STL, so any printer can make it, and ready-made plates print all 21 counters of a color, or all four hinge pins, in one go.

  • Folds shut into a tombstone, with a clip to hold it
  • 21 pumpkins and 21 ghosts
  • A release bar empties the grid between rounds
  • Four hinge pins and no glue anywhere
  • Optional orange inserts behind the cover lettering
  • Board game
  • 2 players
  • No glue
  1. Open the STL files in your slicer

Import them at 100% scale and keep the way they lie on the plate. The settings to use are just below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need three colors:

    • FrameGray
    • PumpkinsOrange
    • GhostsWhite
    • Inserts (optional)Orange
  3. Print

Print everything on the list below, then put it together.

Colors are suggestions: every file is a separate single-color part.

The STLs are geometry only: there is no printer profile or G-code in the package, so slice them with your own printer's profile.

04Putting it together

  1. Print the parts

Import the STLs in millimeters at 100% scale and keep the supplied orientations: grid upright on its feet, covers face down, pins head down, counters decorated face up. The covers are about 182 × 186.5 mm, so leave room for a brim.

  2. Attach the covers

Line up each cover's hinge barrels with the grid's hinge ears and push in two pins per cover, flat side of the head toward the cover edge. The head stays outside one ear and the tip passes through the other. If a pin binds, back it out instead of forcing it.

  3. Fit the release bar

Slide it through the slot near the bottom of the grid. Leave it in while you play; pull it out to drop the counters after a round, then put it back.

  4. Play

Fold both covers out to the sides. Each player takes pumpkins or ghosts and drops one per turn. First to get four in a row across, down or diagonally wins, and a full grid is a draw.

  5. Store it

Keep the counters clear of the hinges and the top seam, close both covers, and press the top clip over the rounded top until its teeth catch the slots.

  6. Optional: the orange inserts

Print the small edge-fit strip first to dial in the fit on your printer: it should slide under both rail lips with gentle pressure. Then print the two inserts and slide one into each cover until its catches settle over the bumps.
