01About

A black cauldron on four clawed feet with a bubbling lime rim, and a purple tentacle that climbs out of the candy, over the rim and down the side. At about 19 cm across and 11.4 cm tall, it holds a good pile of wrapped candy for the door.

The tentacle is 12 linked sections that print flat in one go and bend at every hinge. Its root clips into a hidden slot inside the bowl wall, so there is no glue and no hardware. The bowl is one print that changes from black to lime at the rim, with an AMS or a single filament change, and it works in one color too.

Both parts come as Bambu Studio projects set up for a P2S, and as STL files for any other slicer. The license lets you sell the prints you make.

  • Articulated tentacle: 12 linked sections, printed flat in one piece
  • Clips into a hidden slot inside the bowl: no glue, no hardware
  • Black body and lime rim in one print
  • About 192 × 192 × 114 mm
  • No supports on either part
  • Sell the prints you make
  • Candy bowl
  • Articulated
  • No supports
  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need three colors:

    • Bowl body and feetBlack
    • Bowl rimLime green
    • TentaclePurple
  3. Print

Then put it together with the steps below.

Printing the bowl from the STL? Add a filament change after Z = 92.00 mm (after layer 460 at 0.20 mm layers), before the first green layer at 92.20 mm, or print it in one color. Keep the scale at 100%: scaling changes the hinge clearance and the snap fit.

Printing on another printer or slicer? See the settings

The 3MF projects have all of this saved for a Bambu Lab P2S. Using the STLs on another printer? These are the settings they were made with.

03Putting it together

  1. Print both parts

Print one bowl and one tentacle, from the 3MF projects or the STLs, not both. Keep the tentacle flat as supplied: its 12 sections print linked together, so don't split or auto-arrange them.

  2. Free the hinges

Let both parts cool, then peel off the tentacle brim, including any bits near the joints. Hold neighboring sections and gently rock each hinge through its travel. Don't pull the whole chain or force a stuck joint.

  3. Find the slot

Inside the bowl wall there is a raised support with a slot facing up.

  4. Seat the root

Hold the root with its flat blade pointing down and the first sections rising inside the bowl. Slide the blade into the slot and press on the root until it seats. Don't press or pull on the tip.

  5. Drape it

Bend the sections up and over the rim and down the outside, one hinge at a time: it's articulated, not rubber. To take it out, support the socket and work the root upward.

For wrapped candy. Lift the bowl by its body, never the tentacle, and keep it away from heat that could soften the plastic.

04Selling your prints

Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.

You can

  • Print it for yourself, family and friends, and as gifts
  • Sell physical prints, with no quantity limit or royalty
  • Change the files for your own printing, and sell prints of those too
  • Use your own photos of your prints to sell them

You can't

  • Share, upload, sell or give away the files, or remixes of them
  • Pass the files on with a print you sell
  • Claim the design as yours, or imply 3MF Labs endorses your shop
