01About

A jack-o'-lantern about 6 cm across with a green stem on top that works like a button: press it and it clicks, let go and two printed springs push it back up. A loop on the side takes a keyring, so it can ride along on keys or a backpack.

It's eight small parts: two pumpkin halves, the clicking core, the stem and four pins that hold the halves together. No glue and no bought hardware: the springs are printed too.

The 3MF is a full-color project for a Bambu Lab P2S with an AMS: orange pumpkin, black face, green stem. Prefer one color? The STL prints everything in a single filament on any printer. The license lets you sell the prints you make.

  • Press the stem: it clicks and springs back
  • Printed springs: no bought hardware, no glue
  • Full-color 3MF: orange pumpkin, black face, green stem
  • Single-color STL for any printer
  • About 62 × 58 × 51 mm, with a keyring loop on the side
  • Sell the prints you make
  • Fidget
  • Clicker
  • Keychain
  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need three colors:

    • Pumpkin shells and pinsOrange
    • FaceBlack
    • Stem and inner coreGreen
  3. Print

Print everything on the list below, then put it together.

The 3MF has two plates: plate 1 prints the orange shells and pins with the black face (keep its prime tower), plate 2 the green core and stem in one color. The STL is the single-color version: everything in one filament. Split it into its eight parts in your slicer so supports go on the two shells only. Keep the scale at 100%: the springs and pins depend on it.

The 3MF project has all of this saved for a Bambu Lab P2S with an AMS. Using the STL on another printer? These are the settings it was made with.

03What to print

8 parts. One clicker:

PartHow manyColor
Pumpkin front, with the faceFront shell1×Orange and black
Pumpkin back, with the keyring loopRear shell1×Orange
Clicker core with two springsDual-spring core1×Green
Stem buttonStem1×Green
Pins that hold the halves togetherJoining pins4×Orange

The 3MF prints them on two plates: plate 1 is the orange shells and pins with the black face, plate 2 the green core and stem. The STL has all eight on one plate in one color. Use one format, not both.

04Putting it together

  1. Print the parts

Print both plates of the 3MF (plate 1: the orange shells and pins with the black face; plate 2: the green core and stem), or the single-color STL, not both. Keep the supplied orientations and the 100% scale.

  2. Clean up the parts

Let them cool. Remove the shell supports and the brims, and clear any strings from the shell pockets, the spring tips and both ends of every pin.

  3. Load the stem

Push the stem into the open face of the core so its foot rests on both curved spring tips. Press and release a few times, keeping it straight: it should click and spring back. If it sticks, look for strings or brim bits, and don't force the small fingers.

  4. Seat the core

Set the core in the back half of the pumpkin with the stem through the top collar, keeping the springs clear of the shell.

  5. Close the pumpkin

Push the four pins halfway into one half's sockets, line up the front half and press the halves together. Leave it unglued the first time so you can open it again.

Press straight down on the stem: printed springs can wear over time. The pins are small parts, so keep them away from young children, and keep PLA away from heat that could soften it.

05Selling your prints

Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.

You can

  • Print it for yourself, family and friends, and as gifts
  • Sell physical prints, with no quantity limit or royalty
  • Change the files for your own printing, and sell prints of those too
  • Use your own photos of your prints to sell them

You can't

  • Share, upload, sell or give away the files, or remixes of them
  • Pass the files on with a print you sell
  • Claim the design as yours, or imply 3MF Labs endorses your shop
