01About
A round turkey about 8 cm (3 in) across and 1 cm thick: eight rounded tail feathers around a raised centre cap with a friendly turkey face (eyes, beak and wattle).
The tail spins around the captive centre hub on a printed bearing: it comes off the plate already joined, so there is no metal bearing to buy and nothing to put together. Pinch the hub, flick a feather and it spins.
It prints in one color with no supports. A plate of four spinners is included too, for Thanksgiving table favors or the kids' table.
It comes as a Bambu Studio project for a P2S and as STL. The license lets you sell the spinners you make.

02How to print
Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio
Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.
Load your filament
One color:

Print
Print it flat as supplied at 100% scale, with supports off.
Keep the scale at 100% (changing the size changes the bearing gap), print it flat exactly as supplied and keep the hub and tail where they are. Too much first-layer squish can close the gap, so calibrate your flow first.

04Getting it spinning
Let it cool
Let the plate and the print cool fully, then flex the plate gently and lift the hub and tail off together. Don't pull on the feather tips.
Free the bearing
Hold the round hub and twist the tail gently a few turns each way until it turns freely.
Spin
Pinch the centre hub between thumb and finger and flick a feather. Keep your fingers on the hub, away from the spinning feathers.
No oil or glue is needed. If it sticks, check that supports were off and the scale was 100%; don't pry the hub out or force it with tools. Keep PLA away from heat, and keep small or broken parts away from young children and pets.
