01About

Four Thanksgiving scenes for our Modular Lantern: a big harvest moon over a pumpkin patch, a strutting turkey on a fence rail, maple leaves falling from a branch, and an oak branch with acorns. Each panel is a single print: a thin backing in a light-colored filament that glows when the lantern is lit, with raised black artwork on top.

The panels slide into the Modular Lantern Frame in place of any others, so you can change the scenes with the season. This is the panel set only: get the frame on its own, or add it when you buy the panels.

Every panel comes as a Bambu Studio project set up for a P2S with an AMS, and as an STL for any other slicer. Print all four on one plate, or one at a time to give each its own glow color. The license lets you sell the prints you make.

  • Four scenes: Pumpkin Patch, Turkey, Falling Leaves, Acorns
  • Glowing panels: a light backing and black artwork in one print
  • Slide into the Modular Lantern frame, no tools or glue
  • All four on one plate, or one at a time in different colors
  • Each panel 90 × 120 mm
  • Sell the prints you make
  • Thanksgiving
  • Fall decor
  • Lantern panels
  • Light-up
  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need two colors:

    • Raised artworkBlack
    • Panel backingWarm yellow, pumpkin orange, red-orange or golden olive
  3. Print

Print everything on the list below, then put it together.

Printing from the STL? Start in your backing color and add a filament change after layer 3 (Z = 0.60 mm), before the first black layer at 0.80 mm. The backing colors in What to print are suggestions; any light color glows. Keep the scale at 100%, or the panels won't fit the frame's grooves.

Printing on another printer or slicer? See the settings

The 3MF projects have all of this saved for a Bambu Lab P2S. Using the STLs on another printer? These are the settings they were made with.

03What to print

4 panels. All four sides of one lantern:

PartHow manyColor
Pumpkin patch01-Pumpkin-Patch1×Warm yellow
Turkey02-Turkey1×Pumpkin orange
Falling leaves03-Falling-Leaves1×Red-orange
Acorns04-Acorns1×Golden olive

Rather print them together? 00-All-Four-Same-Background holds the same four panels on one plate, all in one backing color. Use the 3MF projects or the STLs, not both.

04Putting it together

  1. Print the panels

Print 01 to 04 once each, or the all-four plate once. They print flat, backing down, and switch to black after the third layer: by themselves with an AMS, or at a filament change you add.

  2. Clean them up

Let the panels cool before you lift them off the plate. Remove any strings, but leave the edges as they are so the panels still fit.

  3. Open the lantern

Press the roof's thumb pad down, slide the roof 12 mm to the right and lift it off.

  4. Slide the panels in

Slide one panel down each groove of the frame, artwork facing out, and seat them fully. Don't force them.

  5. Light it up

Put a battery-powered LED light inside, set the roof back on and slide it to lock.

These panels fit the Modular Lantern Frame, sold on its own or with the panels. Battery LED lights only: no candles, flames or hot bulbs.

05Selling your prints

Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.

You can

  • Change the files for your own printing, and sell prints of those too
  • Use your own photos of your prints to sell them

You can't

  • Share, upload, sell or give away the files, or remixes of them
  • Pass the files on with a print you sell
  • Claim the design as yours, or imply 3MF Labs endorses your shop
