01About
A faceted, gem-cut dragon about 20 cm (8 in) long: a horned head, a chunky body, four splayed legs and a long tail that curls to a spade tip. The body and tail bend side to side at hidden joints, so it looks like one solid crystal.
The body prints in place, already joined. The two wings print flat beside it on the same plate, then click onto pegs at the shoulders: lift a wing and it flaps up to about 60 degrees. No glue, no screws.
It prints in one color with no supports and fits a 256 x 256 mm plate. A spare left and right wing are included too.
It comes as a Bambu Studio project for a P2S and as STL. The license lets you sell the dragons you make.

02How to print
Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio
Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.
Load your filament
One color:
- DragonAmethyst purple
Print
Print everything on the list below, then put it together.
Keep the scale at 100% (shrinking it closes up the joints and changes the snap fit), leave every section where it is and print by layer. Keep bridge cooling on and don't add supports in the joints or clips. Silk and translucent PLA can fit differently and be more brittle at the clips.
Printing on another printer or slicer? See the settings
The 3MF project has these settings saved for a Bambu Lab P2S. Using the STL on another printer? These are the settings it was made with.

- Walls
- 3, with 4 top and 4 bottom layers
- Infill

03What to print
1 dragon. Print 01 for a complete dragon; 02 and 03 are spares:
| Part | How many | Color |
|---|---|---|
| The complete dragon on one plate01-Articulated-Crystal-Dragon | 1 dragon + 2 wings | Amethyst purple |
| A spare left wing02-Crystal-Dragon-Wing-Left | 1 wing | Amethyst purple |
| A spare right wing03-Crystal-Dragon-Wing-Right | 1 wing | Amethyst purple |
About 2 h 55 min and 67 g for the full plate. Pick one format, the 3MF or the STL, not both.
04Getting it moving
Print it
Print the 01 plate once, at 100% scale, lying flat as supplied. Watch the first layer under the body, tail and wings.
Loosen the joints
Let the plate cool completely, flex it gently and lift the dragon with the body supported. Wiggle neighboring sections side to side until every joint moves.
Click on the wings
With the dragon on a flat surface, hold a wing ridges up with its tip out to the side and the open clip facing down. Line the clip up over the shoulder peg and press straight down at the clip until it snaps. Repeat on the other side.
Flap
Lift a wing to flap it, from slightly raised to about 60 degrees up. Stop at the end of travel. No glue needed.
These are sideways hinges, not rubber: bend the body gently and don't twist it upward or pull the sections apart. If a clip is too tight or loose, check your filament flow before reprinting a spare wing; don't force or glue it. Keep PLA away from heat, and keep small or broken parts away from young children and pets.
05Selling your prints
Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.
You can
- Print it for yourself, family and friends, and as gifts
- Sell physical prints, with no quantity limit or royalty
- Change the files for your own printing, and sell prints of those too
- Use your own photos of your prints to sell them
You can't
- Share, upload, sell or give away the files, or remixes of them
- Pass the files on with a print you sell
- Claim the design as yours, or imply 3MF Labs endorses your shop
