01About

A faceted low-poly Christmas tree with three star-edged tiers and two little cartoon fists on the front, each giving the middle finger. A funny gift for the friend who is over the holidays, or the coworker who sends the "festive" emails.

It prints as one solid piece, standing upright, with supports off: the fists rest on the edge of the tier below, so nothing prints over thin air. No assembly, no glue.

One color, so no AMS. The whole tree takes about 57 min and 21 g.

It comes as a Bambu Studio project for a P2S and as STL. The license lets you sell the prints you make.

  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

    Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    One color:

  3. Print

    Print the tree standing upright on its star-shaped base, supports off. That's the whole build.

Keep the star-shaped base on the plate and never lay the tree down: the tier edges and the fists are shaped to print upright with no supports. Keep the scale at 100% so the fingers stay chunky.

04Printing it

  1. Let it cool

    Let the plate and the tree cool fully, then flex the plate gently.

  2. Lift it off

    Lift it by the wide bottom tier, not by the tip or the raised fingers.

  3. Put it out

    Stand it on a shelf, a desk or the gift table. Nothing to attach.

A display decoration, not a toy: the tip and fingers can break if forced.
