01About

A tidy spot for your controller on a desk, shelf or TV stand. Its two grips drop into two compact rounded saddles with small front lips, and its back leans against a gently curved backrest tilted back about 15 degrees, so the face of the controller reads well from your chair.

A charging cable can stay plugged in: it runs through a notch at the bottom of the backrest and out along a groove in the top of the rear floor. The base stays solid all the way round, and the stand only tips past about 33 degrees with a controller in it.

It is about 144 mm wide, 108 mm deep and 88 mm high, and fits most full-size gamepads about 150-162 mm wide with grips about 105-122 mm apart. Bulky protective cases may not fit.

It prints in one piece, standing on its base with no supports: about 5 h 40 min and 99 g in PLA. The teal stripe is the top 5 mm, done with one filament change near the end, no AMS needed; or print it in one color. The projects are set up for a Bambu Lab P2S; it comes as a 3MF project and as STL, and the license lets you sell the prints you make.

  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need two colors:

    • StandCharcoal grey
    • Top stripeTeal
  3. Print

Print it standing on its base as supplied, with no supports. At the pause near the top, swap to teal and resume. It comes off the plate in one piece: nothing to glue, screw or put together.

Keep it standing on its base as supplied and keep the scale at 100%: the saddle spacing depends on it. For one color, remove the pause before slicing.

Printing on another printer or slicer? See the settings

The 3MF project has these settings saved for a Bambu Lab P2S. Using the STL on another printer? These are the settings it was made with.

03What to print

1 part. One complete stand:

PartHow manyColor
Stand01 Game Controller Stand1 pieceAbout 144 x 108 x 88 mm

Pick one format, the 3MF or the STL.

04Using your stand

  1. Take it off

Let the plate cool fully, flex it gently and lift the stand by its base.

  2. Set it down

Put it on a flat desk or shelf with the two low saddle lips facing you.

  3. Seat the controller

Lower both grips into the saddles and lean its back against the backrest. Check it sits securely before letting go.

  4. Add the cable

Run a charging cable through the backrest notch and along the groove in the rear floor, leaving some slack.

Lift the controller straight up to take it out; do not lever it against the lips. Remove a bulky case if it rocks. Keep PLA away from radiators, hot cars and direct sun.
