01About

Five tops with five different personalities. The red Classic has a round onion body and a fluted grip. The teal Disc is a wide flat spinner with three rings. The yellow Flip is a ball with a short stem: spin it hard and it turns over and keeps going on its stem. The dark grey Precision carries its weight in a heavy rim with four open windows for long, steady spins. The green Tree is three steep cone tiers with a star on top of its fluted stem.

Each top is one solid piece with nothing to put together: no strings, launchers, glue or extra parts. Twist the stem between thumb and finger, let go upright, and spin it on any smooth, hard table.

The tops print solid for even balance, with supports, which the files have set up. Print each in its own color for a bright set, or all five on one plate in one color.

The 3MF projects are set up for a Bambu Lab P2S, and the STLs print on any printer. Great as stocking stuffers or desk toys, and the license lets you sell the tops you make.

  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

    Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need 5 colors:

    • ClassicRed
    • DiscTeal
    • FlipYellow
    • PrecisionDark grey
    • TreeDark green

  3. Print

    Print each top as supplied, with the supports and brim switched on.

Keep the scale at 100%, the solid infill and the supplied orientations, or the tops lose their balance. Times are for all five on one plate (one top: about 45 min to 1 h 27 min, 24 to 47 g).

Each file comes as a 3MF project and as an STL: use one or the other, not both.

04Getting them ready

  1. Remove the supports

    Let the plate cool, lift the print off and peel the brim. Break the supports away gently in small pieces, holding the body, not the stem or star.

  2. Check the tip

    Clear any strings or crumbs from the rim and the point. Never sand or flatten the rounded tip or the Flip's ball and stem dome.

  3. Spin

    Roll the stem between thumb and finger and let go upright on a smooth, hard, level table.

  4. Flip it

    Spin the Flip top hard on its ball: it rises, turns over and keeps spinning on its stem. Try a few launches to find the right speed.

05Selling your prints

Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.

You can

  • Print it for yourself, family and friends, and as gifts
  • Sell physical prints, with no quantity limit or royalty
  • Change the files for your own printing, and sell prints of those too
  • Use your own photos of your prints to sell them

You can't

  • Share, upload, sell or give away the files, or remixes of them
  • Pass the files on with a print you sell
  • Claim the design as yours, or imply 3MF Labs endorses your shop
