01About

Give your glasses a home on the nightstand, desk or dresser. Three stands to choose from: a sculpted nose with a real bridge and nostrils, a clean rounded arch, and a sitting cat with closed eyes, pointed ears and a tail curled up its back. The glasses rest on the bridge just as they sit on your face, with the lenses hanging clear.

Each stand is about 68 x 60 mm on a wide, steady base and 90 to 101 mm tall, and holds most reading glasses and sunglasses. Open the arms, or fold them behind the stand when they clear it.

Every stand prints in one piece, upright, with no supports, no glue and no felt pads. Print the three in peach, charcoal and cream as shown, or all three on one plate in one color.

One color each, no AMS needed. The 3MF projects are set up for a Bambu Lab P2S, and the STLs print on any printer. A thoughtful little gift, and the license lets you sell the stands you make.

  1. Open the 3MF in Bambu Studio

Open it as a project (File, then Open Project). The printer, plate and settings are already saved, so there's nothing to set up. Printing on another brand? Use the STL files with the settings below.

  2. Load your filament

    You need three colors:

    • NoseWarm peach
    • ArchCharcoal grey
    • CatCream
  3. Print

Print it upright as supplied, with no supports.

Keep the scale at 100% and the bases flat on the plate. Print the all-three plate by layer. Times are for all three on one plate (one stand: about 1 h 9 min to 1 h 14 min, 29 to 37 g).

Printing on another printer or slicer? See the settings

The 3MF projects have these settings saved for a Bambu Lab P2S. Using the STLs on another printer? These are the settings they were made with.

03What to print

3 stands. Print any stand on its own, or Glasses-Stand-All once in one color:

PartHow manyColor
Sculpted nose, about 101 mm tallGlasses-Stand-Nose1×Warm peach
Rounded arch, about 90 mm tallGlasses-Stand-Arch1×Charcoal grey

Each file comes as a 3MF project and as an STL: use one or the other, not both.

04Using your stand

  1. Let it cool

Let the print and plate cool fully, lift the stand off and remove any loose strands.

  2. Place it

Stand it on a level, firm surface such as a nightstand or desk.

  3. Rest your glasses

Lower the glasses gently onto the bridge rest (the nose tip, the top of the arch or the cat's muzzle), centered, with the lenses hanging clear.

  4. Arms open or folded

Leave the arms open, or fold them behind the stand when they clear it freely. Never force a tight frame around it.

The full notes, including fit tips, are in START_HERE.txt inside the download. Keep PLA out of hot cars and strong sun; wipe clean with a soft damp cloth.

05Selling your prints

Every download comes with a license that lets you sell the physical prints you make. The full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the ZIP.
